Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Coach to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for leading personal training sessions with clients to meet their fitness interests and demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer fitness assessments and/or consultations to clients
  • Design and lead personal training sessions in an individual or group setting
  • Identify the need for modifying movements and communicate and demonstrate these modifications to participants
  • Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive environment for members and guests
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service sessions
Requirements
  • Nationally recognized personal training certification such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, etc.
  • Some experience administering fitness assessments and/or consultations
  • Some experience designing and leading personal training sessions in an individual or group setting
  • Ability to fully engage with students and members in vibrant activities that promote fitness and wellness
  • Availability to consistently work with a number of clients per semester
  • Exemplary customer service skills and communication skills
