We are currently seeking motivated individuals aged 21 and over for the role of Cannabis Financial Specialist.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Accounting & Payroll Manager with various administrative tasks, including financial record-keeping, data management, payroll assistance, accounts payable, and other accounting responsibilities. Adherence to the company's Standards of Conduct & Discipline is essential. The compensation for this position is $22 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site role operating Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. Experience with QuickBooks is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software.
2. Assist with accounts payable processes and maintain a regular schedule.
3. Support management with requests for historical transaction details.
4. Aid in counting and reconciling deposits.
5. Manage filing for the accounting department and ensure the accuracy of the paperless filing system through regular audits.
6. Assist the Payroll Manager with various payroll preparation tasks.
7. Take the lead on garnishments, child support, and other payroll deductions.
8. Maintain relationships with external vendors for payroll-related support, ensuring timely payments.
9. Support monthly closing procedures and participate in accounting meetings.
10. Collect, prepare, and reconcile various reports and statements from different departments.
11. Comply with federal, state, and company policies and regulations.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
● Must be at least 21 years old.
● A bachelor's degree in accounting or two years of accounting experience is preferred.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
● QuickBooks experience is essential.
● Must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
To perform this job effectively, individuals must be able to:
- Regularly sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks, and lift or carry up to 20 pounds.
● Frequently walk, reach, and engage in sensory activities such as tasting or smelling.
● Occasionally climb, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds, as well as communicate verbally and audibly.
● Clearly see distances of 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses, and distinguish between colors (no color blindness).
