Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Tech to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Anesthesia Tech, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our anesthesia providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesia providers with preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment
  • Apply monitoring devices to patients and operate common physiological monitors
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on equipment
  • Handle and dispose of contaminated equipment
  • Assist with regional blocks and lines as requested
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
  • Able to cover call and/or work weekend shifts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) - three (3) years of anesthesia tech experience
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Basic hygiene concepts
  • Good body mechanics and safe lifting techniques
  • Independent worker able to prioritize activities and work quickly, self-motivated
