Job Title: Orthopaedic Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Care Specialist to join our team at Chatham Orthopaedic Associates in Savannah, GA. As an Orthopaedic Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

About the Role:
• Provide direct personal patient observation, care, and assistance under the general direction of the Director of Operations.
• Review previous visit notes and flowsheets prior to scheduled office visits and ensure all ordered test results are available and accessible for physicians/mid-level provider use.
• Establish patient comfort and safety measures by introducing yourself to patients, ensuring correct identification, and informing patients of reasons for procedures and tests.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for evaluation and management by reviewing pertinent patient information, including patient medications on each visit.
• Prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment/supplies for each patient's visit.
• Review physician/mid-level provider orders and coordinate in-house MRIs, x-rays, therapy services, and DME services.
• Certify patients as needed for medications, hospitalization, surgery, and applicable procedures; preauthorize patient procedures done in other facilities with insurance network as needed.
• Ensure patient care documentation is completed and charted daily in system.
• Restock exam rooms with medical supplies and paper products as needed.
• Complete physician dispensing orders as requested in compliance with office policy and procedure.
• Compile with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements:
• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Entry-Level experience preferred.
• Certification/License Required.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
