We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, providing top-notch patient care, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging studies, to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
- Provide patient education and preparation for procedures, ensuring their understanding and cooperation.
- Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as necessary.
- Select and implement appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with imaging quality.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- State licensure if required by law.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
