Financial Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to support our Corporate FP&A team at firstPRO, Inc. This contract role is expected to last 3-4 months and will primarily focus on operating expenses, covering a key gap in the workflow while an employee is on leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial performance by comparing actual results against plans and forecasts, with a primary focus on operating expenses (OpEx)
  • Produce operational metric reports and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in the development of forecasts and plans for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly Operating Review (QOR)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports using Microsoft Power BI and Adaptive Insights
  • Collaborate with international subsidiaries to provide monthly qualitative analysis and support quarterly review meetings
  • Contribute to productivity enhancements through automated reporting and forecasting tools
  • Prepare financial presentations for leadership, supporting decision-making and strategy
  • Perform profitability analysis for major sales opportunities
  • Provide support for monthly close processes and other ad-hoc reporting as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or similar roles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill large data sets into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with SAP (priority), Adaptive Insights (preferred), and Power BI
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information clearly
