Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Professional to join our team at Kids After Hours. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and educational programs for school-aged children.

Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist with the setup and cleanup of the program area, prepare snacks, and implement or set up/clean up activities.
  • Equipment Management: Organize, label, and replace equipment, games, and toys to ensure a safe and engaging environment.
  • Supervision: Provide hands-on supervision for children, including playing and being involved while ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Activity Leadership: Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities, including crafts, nature, songs, games, and other engaging experiences.
  • Communication: Have positive interactions with children, including teaching games, crafts, and other skills, and communicate with parents about their child's experiences and report any concerns to leadership.
  • Safety and Emergency Procedures: Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with childcare and program areas, including being responsible for children's safety and whereabouts at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience working with children.
  • Leadership and Planning: Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.
  • Teamwork and Supervision: Ability to work as a member of a team and accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
