Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at ManTech International Corporation. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Tier III IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support for IT systems, including troubleshooting, resolving performance and security issues, and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective IT operations.
  • Participate in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests.
  • Perform requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms.
  • Provide direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers.
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. A degree can be substituted by additional 4 years of experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required.
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level III within 3 months of hire.
  • DoD 8570 computing environment certification required within 6 months of hire. MCSA, VCP, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products.
  • Must be open to up to 10% local travel.
  • Possible evening and/or weekend work as needed (overtime pay available if necessary/approved)
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL Foundations certification.
  • Scripting experience or willingness to learn.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Top-Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
  • Must be open to random CI polygraph.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
