Job Description:

Overview:

As a seasoned Agile Release Train Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of software products by overseeing Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and championing DevOps practices within the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure alignment with business objectives and efficient delivery of value to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the ART processes and ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops, and release planning.
  • Ensure alignment of multiple Agile teams within the ART towards common goals and objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies within and across ARTs to ensure smooth execution of program increments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing feedback mechanisms and encouraging experimentation.

DevOps Integration:

  • Champion DevOps principles and practices within the Agile Release Train, promoting collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
  • Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools to streamline environment provisioning and configuration.
  • Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance, leveraging metrics and monitoring tools to identify areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between the Agile teams, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration, resolving conflicts and promoting a culture of transparency and trust.
  • Provide visibility into the progress and health of the Agile Release Train through regular reporting and communication channels.

Leadership and Coaching:

  • Serve as a servant leader, coaching Agile teams and stakeholders on Agile and DevOps practices, principles, and values.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and accountability within the Agile Release Train.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other team members on Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification required.
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or similar role in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe RTE certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or VersionOne.

Base Salary Range: $100K/Annum - $120K/Annum
