Medical Assistant in Outpatient Oncology

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at an outpatient oncology clinic in the Liliha and Aiea areas of Hawaii. This position requires flexibility to float between both locations.
About the Role:
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals providing exceptional care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, supporting medical staff, and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other medical staff during patient exams and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and treatments, taking vital signs and updating medical records
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as blood pressure checks and ECGs
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Certificate from an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Minimum of 6 months recent experience as a Medical Assistant
- Two-step TB/Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Compensation:
