Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Neurosciences Registered Nurse to join our team in D5 Neuromedicine and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) - D5N. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our Mission.
We offer a competitive salary, with an hourly range of $43.50 - $48.50 per hour, reflecting the value we place on your skills and experience.
About the RoleAs a Clinical Nurse in our EMU, you will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, all while documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
You will assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered, applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Additionally, you will provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. You must also hold current NYS Registered Nurse licensure, obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and have a minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
