Key Position Details:

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible surgical oncologist, fellowship-trained, to join our multidisciplinary team in Minneapolis. This role emphasizes collaboration with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and advanced practice providers.

Practice Highlights:

  • Full-time position with a call schedule of 1:4 weeks, focusing solely on surgical oncology and breast cases.
  • Support from a dedicated team of surgical oncologists and advanced practice providers.
  • Access to a comprehensive surgical oncology practice across multiple metro locations.
  • Engagement in weekly multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
  • Hospital equipped with Level 2 trauma services and in-house general surgeons available 24/7.
  • Utilization of Excellian, a leading electronic health record system.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients to enhance their health outcomes.
  • Practice with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and legal responsibilities.
  • Participate actively in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Engage in quality assurance and peer review processes.
  • Utilize quality improvement methodologies to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical training required.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Oncology fellowship program.
  • Board eligibility or certification with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possession of an active medical license in Minnesota or ability to obtain one.
  • Capability to maintain DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Compliance with credentialing and hospital privilege requirements.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
