Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for guiding the development of complex systems and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of GEOINT solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, analysis, and execution of systems engineering activities, including requirements derivation, interface specification, and N2 diagram creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system architectures, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including DODAF documentation and system engineering lifecycle artifacts.
  • Conduct trade studies and engineering assessments to inform system design and development decisions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our systems engineering practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in systems engineering, including experience with DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, and PPBES Process.
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise and system architecting, including requirements derivation, requirements management, and interface specification.
  • Proven experience with multiple data collection techniques and a deep understanding of GEOINT phenomenology.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering, including experience with CAP/SAP architecture, NSG/ASG, and NRO enterprises.
  • Experience with image quality assessment and analysis, photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
  • Software Development Framework, Agile, PMP, or INCOSE ESEP certification.
