Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough audits of financial statements and reconciliations to verify their accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate efficient audit processes.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations to maintain precise financial reporting and ledger accuracy.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing operational procedures and practices.
- Ensure compliance with sales, use, and property tax regulations.
- Support staff accountants during municipal sales, use, and property tax audits.
- Oversee the bank cash reconciliation process.
- Participate in physical inventory assessments as required.
- Assist management with special reporting requests, delivering data in an accessible format.
- Undertake additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in data extraction and manipulation from databases.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or D365 is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory cost valuation is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.A.) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
- Experience with accounting software systems is essential.
