Job Summary

The Kentucky Heritage Council is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our team. As a key member of our preservation team, you will be responsible for working with the public to interpret and apply the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties for a wide range of historic property types statewide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review plans and construction drawings for historic building rehabilitation to ensure federal and state compliance through on-site visits and consultation.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for constituents on historic preservation and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Review and process applications for federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits.
  • Perform professional architectural work for design and/or alteration of new or existing structures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a licensed architect with the ability to stamp drawings. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex preservation concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
