Bowhead is seeking a Lead Logistics Consultant to provide support for the Product Manager Engineer, Maintenance, and Support Equipment (PdM) NMESIS Support Services contract.

The PdM NMESIS initiative aims to equip the Marine Corps with advanced long-range anti-ship and land attack capabilities, ensuring a naval expeditionary force is ready to operate in contested maritime environments.

The responsibilities of the Logistics Consultant encompass the research, development, testing, production, and deployment of ground-launched, long-range artillery rocket and missile systems, along with their associated command and control capabilities. This role also involves the sustainment, obsolescence management, and modernization of existing systems.

Responsibilities:


Facilitates equipment deployment and logistics documentation, conducts publication validation and verification, and provides reports on Item Unique Identifier (IUID) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), as well as Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) reconciliation.


Drafts and revises program acquisition documents, including Lifecycle Sustainment Plans, Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, Naval Messages, and stock lists for government review.


Analyzes, organizes, and manages various aspects of provisioning, spare parts, or maintenance and repair activities for complex programs.


Evaluates intricate contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, maintenance practices, operational characteristics, and related reports to ascertain spare parts provisioning or maintenance requirements.

Develops logistics strategies to optimize distribution.

Identifies, prioritizes, and evaluates essential logistic assets and infrastructures.

Formulates policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality assurance and cost management.


Conducts distribution and network analysis, monitors inventory levels, and assesses requirements to devise strategies for achieving optimal delivery timelines.

Responsible for addressing highly technical and complex challenges across multiple projects.

Implements and enhances processes and guidance for projects, serving as a resource for resolving unique or intricate issues.

May provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a minimum of eight (8) years of pertinent experience.

Alternatively, five (5) or more additional years of a combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience supporting ACAT I - III programs is essential.

DAWIA level certification is required.

Familiarity with common logistics systems such as TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and TLCM-OST is advantageous.

Experience in equipment inventory management, distribution, and accounting is necessary.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel and external contacts.

Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment, with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical Demands:
Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level; candidates with an active Secret clearance are encouraged to apply.
