  • Project Accounting: Manage job costing and project accounting for construction projects, tracking budgets, expenses, and profitability.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning to support company growth.
  • Financial Insights: Collaborate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights that guide decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring best practices.
  • Accounting Systems: Implement and maintain accounting systems and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting construction accounting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and project-based accounting. Proficiency in accounting software Sage 300 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
