Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to enhance our structural engineering capabilities in the Southwest region. This role is pivotal in managing and executing various projects across sectors such as Aviation, Healthcare, Industrial, and Government. The successful candidate will lead engineering initiatives, oversee technical aspects, and contribute to business development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal structural engineer on projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and stamping drawings as necessary.
- Conduct structural engineering calculations, refine specifications, and create detailed design drawings.
- Provide expert guidance to Revit designers in developing accurate design models and documentation.
- Collaborate in defining project structural requirements, perform field assessments, and produce comprehensive construction documents.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive structural designs.
- Offer construction support services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submissions, and conducting site observations.
- Assist in business development efforts, including project proposals, client relations, and interviews.
- Leverage prior experience in healthcare, education, government, aviation, or industrial projects.
- Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Be prepared for occasional travel as part of project execution.
- Adhere to safe work practices in line with industry standards.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions promptly to management.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and possession of California and Arizona structural engineering licenses.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit is highly desirable.
The estimated compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
