Northrop Grumman is at the forefront of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of high-performance computing. We are seeking a talented device/quantum/solid-state physicist to join our team and contribute to the design of the next generation of computing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop superconducting quantum circuits, including circuit schematics, physical layout, and integration.
  • Simulate circuit behavior to bound critical RF parameters prior to fabrication.
  • Collaborate closely with fabrication and test teams to ensure seamless integration of quantum techniques and classical circuit design.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related STEM field, or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of quantum mechanics and electromagnetics.
  • 2+ years of experience in coding/designing and running simulations, with a focus on cross-platform interfacing.
  • Experience in planning and executing circuit design and validation, including interactions with test teams.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A deep understanding of superconductivity.
  • An understanding of low-temperature experimental practices.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
