Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute complex engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Develop and implement innovative concept designs that meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Apply expert knowledge of design for manufacturing principles to optimize product design and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced 3D CAD skills to create detailed design models and technical drawings.
  • Develop and test thermoplastic parts and stamp metal components, conduct failure analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and sales, to ensure that product designs meet all necessary requirements.
  • Continually review and update engineering processes and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on new product development, concept design, and design for manufacturing.
  • Expertise in 3D CAD software, with a strong ability to create detailed design models and technical drawings.
  • Extensive experience with thermoplastic parts and stamp metal, with a proven track record of developing and testing these components.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
