We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our Enhanced Rehabilitation program.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan patient care and develop discharge plans.
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to patients with varying acuity levels.
- Design and teach exercise programs to meet patient goals.
- Fit and teach patients to use ambulatory devices, including braces, walkers, canes, and crutches.
- Teach patients airway clearance techniques and perform chest PT procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress.
- Graduation from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
