Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol medication administration. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory care, with a focus on patient teaching and education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management
  • Manage airways and administer aerosol medications as needed
  • Conduct routine and advanced oxygen therapy, blood gas acquisition, and pulmonary function testing
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response situations, and provide support for neonatal resuscitation
  • Transport ventilator patients and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, preferred
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy, required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, required
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, required
Work Schedule

This role requires a 7P-7A work schedule, with every third weekend and call requirements.
