Creative Pathways, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Intern-Certified Addiction Counselor to join our team. As an Intern-Certified Addiction Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing substance use disorder treatment services in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of clients.
  • Provide behavioral counseling services to individuals, groups, and families affected by addiction, including crisis counseling and therapeutic interventions.
  • Evaluate client functioning and identify areas needing continued support resources and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records to reflect the course of treatment and provide required documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations and provide emergency services during work hours.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as sociology, social work, arts, or science.
  • Completion of Catholic Charities DC approved training in alcohol and drug counseling curriculum.
  • Eligibility to practice as a substance use disorder student counselor.
