Position Overview- Specialty: Special Procedures
- Discipline: RN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in California
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA)
Schedule: 4x10 Days with flexible start times.
Call Requirements: 2 call shifts per week, with potential for up to 4 based on patient census.
The role involves providing procedural nursing care, managing 5-10 cases daily, and handling additional inpatient cases as needed. You will work with patients ranging from infants to young adults, utilizing advanced medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell, and maintaining documentation through EPIC.
Key Duties Include:
- Conducting assessments and planning patient care
- Assisting with complex procedures in the IR suite
- Utilizing sterile techniques during interventions
- Providing care for high-acuity patients undergoing advanced imaging procedures
