Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a NICU RN, you'll provide critical care to sick and premature infants, working closely with the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the parents of these tiny patients, providing emotional encouragement and guidance on caring for their infant at home.

Responsibilities:
  • Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life, monitoring their vital signs and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings, ensuring the infants receive the best possible care.
  • Perform tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs, all while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators, to ensure optimal care.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to provide comprehensive care to these vulnerable patients.

Requirements:
  • BLS and NRP certifications
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
  • Capacity to lift 10-20 pounds of equipment
