Plc Technician

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Plc Technician to join our team. As a Plc Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic systems, controllers, and instrumentation for various production and auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair a variety of electronic and/or electrical controllers, systems, or instrumentation for various production or other machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with PLCs, VFDs, and other electronic instrumentation and controls equipment.
- Recommend corrective action and expedite repair of systems.
- Program new equipment and make programming changes to existing PLCs, VFDs, and other electronic equipment.
- Adjust equipment to optimize operations, conferring with operating and/or engineering personnel and supervisor.
- Perform repairs and/or maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Design modifications to machine control systems to achieve established operational results.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in PLC, electronics, and/or computer maintenance at an advanced level.
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience.
- At least 1 year of electronic maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of plant equipment, operations, and predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
- Ability to design and layout electrical circuitry and troubleshoot electrical/electronic components and systems.
- Knowledge of the correct application of systems and processes that ensure continuous improvement (safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, and manufacturing).
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and improvement process.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Occasional travel will be required.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
