The Production Supervisor will oversee the planning, scheduling, and management of all phases of the final assembly process leading to the shipment of complete vehicle frames and suspension systems. This role involves leading a team of 8-10 skilled assembly technicians, order pickers, and shipping specialists to achieve production targets. The supervisor will ensure the efficient movement of raw and fabricated components through the assembly line to deliver finished products ready for dispatch.


Key Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates production operations, setting priorities and processes for the final assembly stages.Leads a team of 6-8 assembly technicians to meet production objectives.Plans component assembly schedules based on production capacity, inventory levels, and external service requirements.Manages external services such as plating, anodizing, and powder coating, along with internal transportation logistics.Supervises crating and inventory management to ensure timely order fulfillment.Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and implements strategies to enhance operational efficiency.Collaborates with the Purchasing/Inventory Manager for precise inventory and demand forecasting to support production schedules.Acts as a liaison between assembly operations and engineering teams.Reviews and updates work instructions to maintain smooth production flow.Coordinates assembly activities with Sales, Customer Service, and Shipping departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management and scheduling.Strong strategic planning abilities and comprehensive knowledge of production planning methodologies.Excellent critical thinking skills with the capacity to address daily challenges impacting production.Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical assembly and components.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.Able to navigate complex issues in a dynamic work environment.Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Global Shop Solutions is a plus.
