Quality Control Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and managing laboratory staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day laboratory activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Clearly communicate priorities and objectives to the team.
- Ensure timely project completion and adherence to established protocols.
- Oversee the receipt, testing, and documentation of samples.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, functioning, and maintained.
- Maintain accurate documentation for equipment and procedures.
- Develop, review, approve, and execute laboratory policies and procedures.
- Ensure documentation complies with cGMPs, GOPs, and GLPs.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits by regulatory authorities (e.g., FDA, EU) and customers.
- Address audit findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure the safety of laboratory personnel and visitors.
- Manage laboratory housekeeping and maintenance of non-calibrated equipment.
- Oversee and manage a team of laboratory professionals or non-professional staff through supervisors.
- Handle hiring, performance reviews, training, and development.
- Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding laboratory activities and results.
- Contribute to budgetary planning and management.
- Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a GMP laboratory setting within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or cosmetic industries.
- Proven experience with project management and independent action.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, CFR requirements, USP/ASTM/ISO/AAMI test methods, and FDA interactions.
- Strong time management skills including prioritization, organization, and detail tracking.
- Technical writing proficiency.
- Ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues.
- Effective communication with diverse audiences, including senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to control and coordinate concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
