Virginia Community Colleges is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach welding courses at one of our campuses. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in welding.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver instruction in support of stated learning outcomes, adhering to college policies and procedures.
- Conduct meaningful and timely assessments of student learning, including at least one assessment within the first 15% of class.
- Hold at least 1 office hour per week for each course assigned.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably an Associate degree or equivalent in Welding.
- Five years of current occupational experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Knowledge of CANVAS or other learning management systems.
