Job Title: Cytotechnologist

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at NR Consulting. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and report on negative gynecological cases, as well as abnormal gynecological, non-gynecological, and fine needle aspiration cases.
  • Identify diagnostic material and refer cases to pathologists as needed.
  • Participate in the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) team, providing on-site adequacy evaluation of FNA procedures.
  • Provide technical advice and perform cytopreparation and processing as required.
  • Maintain records of screening slide counts and other activities.
  • Assist in gathering data relevant to quality assurance activities, continuous improvement activities, and other special projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or Life Sciences, with successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology program.
  • CT (ASCP) certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent hospital-based experience.
