Key Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: Must possess a current RN license in California. Preferred certifications include ASPAN.
- Clinical Expertise: A minimum of three years of clinical experience in perianesthesia is required, with a preference for candidates with critical care experience in a level one trauma center.
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, while a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Leadership Role: This position involves directing and mentoring staff, contributing to their professional growth and development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with administration and department managers to create and implement educational programs that address departmental needs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.
This position operates on a 5x8 shift schedule with no weekend obligations, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.
Essential Skills- In-depth knowledge of supervisory practices and staff development techniques.
- Strong background in Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings.
- Critical care skills are essential, including experience in ICU, SICU, NICU, or PICU.
