ROLE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
The Senior Manager of FMC Insights is responsible for providing strategic direction and analytical expertise related to consumer data assets, collaborating with various departments including Insights & Foresights, Consumer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, and Activation teams.
This role involves a comprehensive analysis of consumer behavior within the nicotine sector (Cigarettes, Vapor, Oral products), focusing on poly-use, shopping habits, consumer journeys, attitudes, and needs to drive both volume and profitability. The position adds substantial value by leveraging a deep understanding of the nicotine market, business dynamics, and a consumer-centric approach to align with corporate goals.
Engaging in both departmental and cross-functional initiatives, this role is often sought after for mentorship and guidance.
The ideal candidate will consistently challenge the status quo and advocate for ongoing improvements throughout the organization, demonstrating strong credibility and effective leadership, influencing, and presentation skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, advise, conduct primary research, and deliver actionable insights Identify and enhance strategies to integrate consumer insights across key collaborators Define critical topics for in-depth analysis to support corporate objectives, including Portfolio Management, Segmentation, Consumer Profiles, and more Align internal and vendor resources to create impactful analyses on designated topics Develop and implement reporting activities to ensure timely and actionable business outcomes Explore new sources or methods to optimize consumer data integration Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation to positively influence decision-making processes Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-makingIS THIS YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
Have you designed and analyzed consumer-focused primary research studies? Have you participated in multi-category segmentation studies? What was your role? What experience do you have with package testing or tracking new product launches?REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
5+ years in consumer market research or a related field, preferably in CPG. Ability to comprehend broader business challenges and seek solutions Expertise in leading and analyzing data sources, interpreting trends, and providing actionable recommendations. Skill in identifying business opportunities within Sales and Marketing performance metrics. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across various functions Excellent verbal/written communication, data visualization, and presentation skills Proficient in qualitative and quantitative consumer survey methodologies, including Segmentation and Package Testing. Experience in vendor management and survey design Proficiency in Commercial Tools (Retail Sales Data – IRI/Nielsen, Microstrategy), Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Strong technical skills, particularly in mathematics and statistics Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Market Research, Business, or a related field preferredPREFERRED SKILLS
