Program Overview: The training program consists of day sessions from Monday to Thursday, providing essential knowledge and skills necessary for becoming a licensed EMT. Students will engage in a structured learning environment designed to foster professional growth.
Compensation and Benefits: Participants will receive an educational stipend of $14.00 per hour while enrolled in the program. Daily Responsibilities: As an EMT Student, you will receive paid training while acquiring the necessary skills to excel in emergency medical services. The program includes:
- Five hours of instructional time each day
- Hands-on ride-along experiences starting in the third week
- Focus on patient safety and health
Success in this role requires a calm demeanor and a compassionate approach, even in high-pressure situations. You will find fulfillment in providing essential medical care and support to those in need.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proof of MMR and Hep B vaccinations
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
