We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team as a Real Estate Zoning/Land Use Partner.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong foundation in real estate law, with a particular emphasis on land use and zoning matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling complex real estate transactions and land use cases.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development projects.
  • Handle complex land use and zoning matters, including subdivisions, rezoning applications, variances, conditional use permits, and appeals.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, zoning board meetings, and litigation as needed.
  • Stay current on relevant real estate, land use, and zoning laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide seamless client service.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the NY bar.
  • 4+ years of experience practicing real estate law with a focus on land use and zoning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
