Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently in search of a Procurement Specialist for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement opportunity with a leading manufacturing organization. This is an exceptional chance to become part of a well-established team within a prominent industry player. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating orders with key clients, sourcing materials to meet production needs, negotiating supplier pricing, tracking orders throughout the supply chain, and managing onsite inventory for production purposes. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow under experienced industry professionals in a collaborative work environment. The compensation package is competitive and varies based on experience, ranging from $65,000 to $73,000 annually, plus bonuses, along with several medical insurance options, generous paid time off, and a 401K plan with company matching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies with both new and existing business partners across all assigned categories.
  • Assess competitive proposals to identify the best options in terms of cost efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain and oversee vendor/supplier relationships within internal tracking systems.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor their progress throughout the supply chain.
  • Promptly address and resolve supply chain disruptions and delays.
  • Manage the flow of materials throughout the facility.
  • Oversee onsite inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels, and assist with expedited deliveries as needed.
  • Analyze production schedules and inventory reports to determine material requirements and ensure production targets are met.
  • Conduct thorough cost and expenditure analyses, develop cost-saving initiatives, and achieve all cost reduction goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market developments relevant to your categories.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in purchasing materials to support production needs is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential, with a preference for candidates from industrial manufacturing, automotive, heavy trucks, machinery, or similar sectors.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in both domestic and international procurement.
  • Proficiency in using an ERP System is necessary.
  • Must demonstrate a results-driven approach, consistently meeting and exceeding organizational objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
