Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing in-process evaluations of production operations and controls. This role involves meticulous documentation in batch records and ensuring that all components, raw materials, and in-process materials comply with established requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct line clearances and shift verifications to maintain processing control.
  • Document and verify inspection results as required in batch records.
  • Perform visual and statistical sampling to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
  • Manage documentation for retains and storage processes of in-process materials and finished products.
  • Review batch production records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance before product release.
  • Identify and report non-conformances promptly.
  • Collect and retain samples for Quality Analysis in the laboratory.
  • Conduct swab tests and other assessments to ensure product compliance with special instructions.
  • Identify and control quarantined products effectively on the production floor.
  • Perform daily inspections of assigned areas for cleanliness and safety hazards.
  • Facilitate OJT Quality Training as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with QC Management to address deviations promptly.
  • Enforce strict adherence to GMP/cGMPs, SOPs, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in Quality Control within the pharmaceutical or dietary supplement industry preferred; 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel and Word). Strong time management and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to perform calculations and utilize measuring instruments effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are required.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
