Academic Excellence Educator

Job Summary
KIPP Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Excellence Educator to join our team. As an Academic Excellence Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth for our scholars.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery and Assessment:
- Develop and implement year-long Oklahoma standards-based unit plans and lesson plans that meet the diverse learning needs of all scholars.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and modify plans to promote academic performance and close achievement gaps.
- Embrace and incorporate feedback to continuously improve instructional practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance instructional delivery.
- Academic and Cultural Support:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues based on trust, respect, and open communication.
- Participate in daily school functions, including morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory duties.
- Attend school events, such as staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and other activities that support scholar success.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans for scholars and communicate progress to families.
- Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with required certification for subject and level assigned, if applicable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned.
- Satisfactory outcome of a background check.
- Unwavering commitment to KIPP Oklahoma's mission, scholars, families, and community.
- Strong record of helping children achieve academic success, primarily with students in educationally underserved communities.
- Strong desire to teach an academically intense curriculum and commit to an extended school day, week, and year.
- Desire to continuously learn and increase effectiveness as a teacher and professional.
Benefits and Compensation:
This is a full-time, 10-month position with a salary commensurate with experience and based on the KIPP Oklahoma teacher salary scale. Employees are eligible to participate in employer benefits, including health, dental, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short and long-term disability, and participation in Oklahoma Teacher Retirement plans.
