FRIENDSHIP MANOR INC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Counselor to join our team. As a Sales Counselor, you will be responsible for executing sales initiatives to bring prospective residents to Friendship Manor. You will meet sales goals by building relationships with prospective residents and conducting sales activities.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize consultative sales protocols and techniques to establish rapport with prospective residents and family members, move clients through the sales process, and close sales.
- Achieve departmental performance measures for number of completed phone calls, tours, and conversion to sales.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM database to track reserved and occupied units, wait lists, prospect information, and referral source data used in planning future marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Follow established admissions policies and procedures.
- Support other members of the marketing team and licensed care admissions staff in achieving organizational sales and occupancy goals.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure that apartments are vacated and renovated in a timely manner and that resident needs and expectations are met during the move-in and orientation process.
- Participate in the Care Team weekly meeting to learn of potential IL residents needing to access the continuum.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization regarding the use of technology and technology-based information, and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.
- Responsible for welcoming New Team Members.
- Respond and follow up with prospective residents through telephone calls, letters, emails, home visits, and personal appointments.
- Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective residents and families, including evening and weekend appointments if necessary.
- Conduct in-depth discovery of prospective residents' interests and needs to advance the sales process towards a move into the community.
- Communicate the benefits of Friendship Manor as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC).
- Coordinate the process of medically and financially qualifying prospective residents.
- Promote the Friendship Manor community and participate in all marketing events, activities, and functions.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the senior living or healthcare industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to relate well to the public, particularly to the senior market.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective residents and their families.
- Knowledge of CRM software and database management, skills in entering and retrieving computer data for lead management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors and their families.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or social work preferred.
