Job Summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team. As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalograph testing, identifying and correcting artifacts, and editing and forwarding results to attending physicians for analysis and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electroencephalograph testing and identify and correct artifacts.
  • Edit and forward results to attending physicians for analysis and interpretation.
  • Attach and connect electrodes on the head from the EEG machine and perform prescribed testing.
  • Perform long-term video EEG monitoring on patients, demonstrating proficiency in the International 10-20 system.
  • Review patient history and educate patients about the procedure.
  • Monitor and document patient condition and respond to and report any seizure symptoms.
  • Perform data retrieval and reduction operations and video EEG recordings prepared in a form suitable for interpretation by the physician.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Graduate of or enrolled in an Electro-neuro-diagnostic technology program accredited by Commission Accreditation on Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a clinically equivalent program (i.e. hospital-based program)
