Banquet Server Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and courteous Banquet Server to join our team at Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge. As a Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a memorable experience at special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining a clean and sanitary service area.
  • Pay attention to detail and presentation of banquet set-ups, adhering to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Deliver and serve appetizers, main courses, condiments, desserts, and other side dishes, as well as drinks to guests.
  • Remove plates, replace utensils, and keep an eye out for spills or any special needs from guests.
  • Refill guests' glasses as necessary or requested with coffee, water, or other drinks.
  • Offer an outstanding guest experience from the beginning to the end of each banquet event.
  • Review relevant food handling safety regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in food service is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills interacting with guests and coworkers.
