Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Patient Management

  • Facilitate the admission of patients and their families into the care area.
  • Perform clerical duties, assist with patient transport, and maintain cleanliness and organization of care spaces.

Direct Patient Care

  • Engage in essential patient care tasks, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring safe patient transport.
  • Utilize patient lift equipment safely and effectively.
  • Identify and report any concerning symptoms or abnormal vital signs to the nursing staff promptly.
  • Document patient information accurately in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures as needed.
  • Understand and implement appropriate isolation precautions based on patient needs.

Customer Engagement

  • Uphold patient rights and privacy while promoting their independence.
  • Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity to the emotional and psychological needs of patients and their families.
  • Act as a professional representative of Unavailable, fostering a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Encourage open communication by respecting diverse opinions and seeking collaborative solutions.

Financial Accountability

Ensure accurate charging for supplies and equipment used during patient care.

Professional Development

Take initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Patient Privacy Compliance

Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information and adhere to privacy regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the relevant state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with renewal every two years.
  • Understanding of human development to tailor care to individual patient needs.
  • Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including lifting and mobility tasks.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to seek assistance when necessary and recognize personal limitations.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
