Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose equipment failures and provide corrective action, involving research and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on 2-cycle equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document and inventory equipment, providing daily reports and communication with management and staff.
  • Maintain an inventory of commonly used parts and order replacements as needed.
  • Support horticulture staff in the field or during project work.
  • Ensure shop cleanliness and adhere to environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Technical school education required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in small engine mechanics and repair.
  • Mechanics certification required.
Additional Information:
  • Horticulture background preferred.
