Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Lima Memorial Main Campus. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are functioning properly.
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including draping, gowning, and gloving.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical counts and instrument inventory.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies, participating in ongoing education and training.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
