Job Summary

As a Radiology Supervisor at SSM Health, you will oversee the daily activities of assigned staff across multiple modalities in Imaging. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient flow.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations, providing input for hiring and termination procedures.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Assist with quality control testing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Create work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and flexibility to meet changing departmental needs.
  • Perform diagnostics of system when performance is degraded, system has failed, or end user has encountered difficulty in using the application.
  • Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained, performing quarterly audits of all supply closets to review stock vs. workload and making adjustments as necessary.
  • May perform the duties of a Technologist as department staffing levels require.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of radiology program with CT Certification required.
  • Three years' experience, with 2 years experience in CT lead position preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
