Radiologic Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Concentra, a leading provider of workplace health services. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for X-Ray exams, positioning them according to the type of procedure to be performed.
  • Administer routine X-Ray exams as ordered by the treating clinician, adjusting switches to regulate length and intensity of exposure.
  • Maintain quality assurance by performing validity tests and keeping quality assurance records, as required by Concentra's X-Ray Compliance Manual.
  • Manage radiological film files and storage, pulling X-Rays as requested for referrals and/or copying.
  • Keep logs for X-Rays sent out for referrals, position patients under X-Ray machines, and provide radiation protection.
  • Administer drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque, assisting in treating diseased or affected areas of the body under supervision of a Physician.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of services rendered, keeping logs for X-Rays sent out for referrals.
  • Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, as well as testing processes used in the center.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms, notifying supervisors immediately if equipment is not functioning properly or supplies are needed.
  • Manage patient flow and volume, keeping patients informed of expected wait times.
  • Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current licensure by the state in which employed, if state offers a licensing certification program.
  • Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
