Job Description

The Assistant Director of Rooms at Carneros Resort and Spa is responsible for driving operational excellence in housekeeping services. The estimated salary for this role is $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high morale.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and respect among team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Create recognition programs to reward outstanding performance and retain top talent.
  • Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

Performance Metrics and Evaluation:

  • Track and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Establish clear expectations for team performance, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Hold the team accountable for adhering to luxury cleanliness standards.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Lead by example by upholding luxury service standards and promoting a culture of respect and accountability.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain open communication channels with employees and address performance issues promptly and professionally.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and inventory systems.
