Job Summary:

The CDL Class A Truck Driver will be responsible for:

  • Driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Performing all required safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Reporting any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Requirements:

To be successful as a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will need:

  • A valid CDL-A license.
  • 0-6 months of commercial driving experience.
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass a road test.
  • A valid current DOT Health Card.
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the foodservice distribution industry, onboard computer and electronic log system experience, hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience, and customer service-related work experience are preferred.
