We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kindergarten Paraprofessional. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with kindergarten teachers and building administration to support and facilitate the educational and social development of kindergarten students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist kindergarten teachers in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Help implement lesson plans, activities, and educational games that align with the curriculum and individual student needs.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce academic concepts, promote social skills, and provide additional support in areas where students may need additional guidance.
- Assist teacher in addressing and managing discipline issues in a consistent and positive manner.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure effective communication regarding student progress, behavior, and any additional support needs.
- Help prepare classroom materials, resources, and learning spaces.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining student records and documentation as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and behavior management.
- Assist teacher with noninstructional classroom duties.
- 60 hours of approved credit from an accredited college or university, preferably with a concentration in education.
- Successfully pass the ParaProfessional Assessment.
- Have a valid Missouri Substitute Certificate.
Salary and work year established by the Board of Education.
EvaluationPerformance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
