X-ray Technician

\*Job Summary\* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and radiology principles, as well as the ability to work effectively in both emergency and routine care settings. \*Responsibilities\* - Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. - Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly. - Operate X-ray equipment efficiently while maintaining a sterile environment. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including emergency medicine and urgent care scenarios. - Maintain accurate records of all imaging procedures performed and assist in diagnostic evaluations. - Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology techniques, including mammography and sonography. - Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials related to imaging. - Participate in continuous education programs to enhance skills and knowledge in the field. \*Qualifications\* - Certification as an X-ray Technician from an accredited program. - Strong knowledge of anatomy and radiological techniques. - Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred. - Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and emergency medicine practices. - Ability to perform mammography and sonography is a plus. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
