About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Boothby Therapy Services. As an AAC Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering children to communicate effectively through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct AAC evaluations and assessments to identify communication needs
  • Develop and implement AAC plans to enhance communication skills
  • Collaborate with school teams and families to ensure effective communication
  • Complete funding packets and reports for insurance
  • Provide training and support to adults as communication partners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
  • Experience in conducting AAC evaluations and implementing AAC strategies
  • Proficiency in completing comprehensive reports and training adults as communication partners
  • An SLP license for the state of Maine (or willingness to obtain)
